Rebels Attack Santo Domingan Port — The Fighting Desperate.
CAFE HAITIEN, Nov. 4.— Monte Christi, a seaport on the North Coast of Santo Domingo, has been attacked by revolutionists. The defenders put up a stout resistance, and the fighting was of a desperate nature.
The news regarding the attack was brought to this city by a small Santo Dominican detachment which was accompanied by the Director of Customs and several women who fled from the besieged town.
