Guatemala to Sign Peace Treaty.

New York Times 100 years ago today, August 17, 1913:
    WASHINGTON, Aug. 16.— Joaquin Mendez, Guatemalan Minister here, informed Secretary Bryan to-day that he had received instructions from his Government to sign a general peace treaty as proposed by Mr. Bryan, with the United States. This will be done early next week. Guatemala will be the second nation to do so, Salvador having been the first.
