Denial By Porfirio Diaz.

New York Times 100 years ago today, August 8, 1913:
Ex-President of Mexico Says He Is Not Going to Japan.
PARIS, Aug. 7.— Gen. Porfirio Diaz, ex-President of Mexico, announced today that he had no intention of going to Japan. It had been reported that he intended to go there, meet his nephew, Gen. Felix Diaz, and return to Mexico with him.
Gen. Diaz is in excellent health. He is well informed as to conditions in Mexico through correspondence, and by means of conversation with visitors from that country. He, however, declines to express any opinion on the situation.
