New York Times 100 years ago today, October 23, 1912:
CETTINJE, Oct. 22.— Late last night King Nicholas went to Rieka, a small Montenegrin town between Cettinje and Scutari, where he met Crown Prince Danilo. The Prince had just returned from Antivari. They held a council of war and early this morning the bombardment of Tarabosch was begun and was continued throughout the day.
The King passed most of the day on board a steamer on Lake Scutari watching the operations.
The Montenegrin infantry are advancing from the northwest, and are within twelve miles of Scutari.
