Steamer From Here Seized.

New York Times 100 years ago today, November 15, 1912:
The Annetta Said to Have a Cargo of War Stores for Turkey.
LONDON, Nov. 14.— A Lloyd's dispatch from Athens says that the British steamer Annetta, from Philadelphia, Oct. 22, and New York, Oct. 25, has been captured.
The steamer is said to have a cargo of war stores for Albania.
The steamer Annetta is the property of the Donald Steamship Company.
John A. Donald of that company said last night that the Annetta carried a cargo of coal consigned to the Greek Government when she left here, and was scheduled to return with a cargo of currants for the Thanksgiving trade.
Mr. Donald received a telegram from Capt. Durie reporting the steamer's arrival at Pireus, the port of Athens, in which it was stated that the cargo of coal had been discharged. Mr. Donald could not understand how or why the vessel had been seized.
