Likes German Attitude.

New York Times 100 years ago today, February 12, 1913:
Spokesman for Churchill Expresses Pleasure Over Naval Discussions.
LONDON, Feb. 11.— A general feeling of satisfaction with the friendly tone which has characterized recent German discussions of naval affairs was expressed in Commons to-day by Thomas J. Macnamara, Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty, speaking on behalf of Winston Churchill, First Lord of the Admiralty.
The matter came up on an inquiry addressed to Churchill as to the recent statement by Admiral von Tirpitz, German Minister of Marine. Mr. Macnamara did not pursue the subject, saying that he preferred to wait for the introduction of the naval estimates before dealing more fully with the matter.
