Orozco To Recruit 5,000 Men.

New York Times 100 years ago today, February 11, 1913:
Removes His Junta from El Paso to Los Angeles, Where He's Expected.
Special to The New York Times.
LOS ANGELES, Cal., Feb. 10.— Word has been received here to-day that Gen. Pasqual Orozco, the rebel field leader in Northern Mexico, had telegraphed Col. Felix Diaz at Mexico City to-day that the rebel junta, now located at El Paso, had been removed to Los Angeles.
Orozco himself is expected within a few days, and it was stated that his arrival would be the signal for the recruiting of 5,000 men, who will be secretly taken into Chihuahua and Sonora. Much money is said to have been collected by the junta.
Federal officials are closely watching the situation and say that no act unfriendly to the Mexican Government will be permitted.
