Gonzalez Going To Mexico.

New York Times 100 years ago today, March 17, 1913:
Left There with Diaz and Is Now Returning — Will Call on Huerta.
Gen. Fernando Gonzalez, who was for thirty-one years the principal aid to Gen. Porfirio Diaz when he was President of the Mexican Republic, arrived yesterday from Paris on the Kaiserin Auguste Victoria, on his way to Mexico to look after his property. The General, who is a short, plump, good-natured-looking man of about 55, with a military mustache and imperial, said that he had left Mexico with Gen. Diaz and lived with him in Paris until Jan. 12, when the General went to Egypt.
"Owing to the delay of twelve to fifteen days in the Mexican mail service," said he, "I have had to depend on the cabled reports to The Paris Daily Mail for information regarding my own country. I expect to leave for the City of Mexico this coming week, and, after my affairs are arranged, I shall return to Paris and meet Gen. Diaz, who is now staying in Naples."
While in Mexico Gen. Gonzalez will call on President Huerta.
