Wound Salvador President.

New York Times 100 years ago today, February 6, 1913:
Guatemalan and Several Accomplices Try to Assassinate Him.
    SAN SALVADOR, Feb. 5.— An attempt was made last night to assassinate the President of Salvador, Dr. Manuel E. Araujo. The President was wounded in several places, but none of the wounds is considered serious.
    Several persons were involved in the attempt. The leader of the President's assailants is under arrest. He is a Guatemalan, who gave the name of Virgilie Mulatillo. He arrived in this country a few days ago.
    Mulatillo made a confession in which he declared that the plot to assassinate President Araujo had been concocted at Guatemala City and that he had been sent directly to San Salvador to carry out this mission.
