Hear Argentine Wireless.

New York Times 100 years ago today, March 5, 1913:
Newport Station Catches Message 7,000 or 8,000 Miles Away.
Special to The New York Times.
NEWPORT, R. I., March 4.— What may be the longest distance covered by wireless was reported this morning at the Naval Radio Station.
The operators heard two wireless stations in the Argentine Republic exchanging messages. They are between 7,000 and 8,000 miles away.
The atmospheric conditions were perfect for this work.
