Prevost Breaks Vedrines's Record — Distance of 80 1/2 Miles Covered.
RENNES, June 17.— Maurice Prevost, a French aviator, to-day made a remarkable flight in an aeroplane, flying at an average speed of 111 1/2 miles an hour.
Prevost's average speed was calculated on a flight of 80 1/2 miles around a course 6 1-3 miles in circumference on the aerodrome here.
His speed of 111 1/2 miles an hour beats the record made by Vedrines of 108 1/8 miles an hour in a closed circuit at Chicago on Sept. 9, 1912.
