Paris-To-Berlin Flight.

New York Times 100 years ago today, July 14, 1913:
Letort Makes Record Trip in Nine Hours Without a Stop.
BERLIN, July 13.— The French aviator, Leon Letort, made a flight from Paris to Berlin to-day without a stop.
He left the French capital at 4:10 o'clock this morning and landed here at 1:10 in the afternoon.
By his flight to-day Letort becomes the non-stop record holder. The distance covered was about 590 miles, which surpasses the flight made on April 24 by Eugene Gilbert, who flew from Villa Coublay to Vittoria, Spain, a distance of 513 miles, in eight and one-half hours.
