The Thirteenth Cavalry Receives Definite Orders to Go There.
JUNCTION CITY, Kan., Sept. 8.— Final orders directing the Thirteenth Cavalry to proceed to the Mexican border were received to-day by Col. Charles Hatfield, commander of the regiment. The regiment will leave Fort Riley on Thursday for El Paso in a special train. The entire regiment will go, including headquarters, three squadrons of cavalry, a machine gun platoon, and the regimental band, in all nearly 1,000 men.
The men are hardened for service, having returned to Fort Riley only a few days after having taken part in the manoeuvres in Kansas.
