Cruiser Hits A Rock.

New York Times 100 years ago today, May 12, 1913:
Portuguese Warship Wrecked— Crew Are Saved.
    HONGKONG, May 11.— The Portuguese cruiser Adamastor to-day struck a rock north of Dumboell Island, and was badly damaged. The crew were saved and transferred to a Portuguese gunboat, which, with other vessels, hurried to the assistance of the distressed cruiser.
    The Adamastor was built in 1890 at Leghorn. She is 242 feet long and of 1,712 tons burden.
