For Aero-dynamics Study.

New York Times 100 years ago today, May 2, 1913:
Smithsonian Institution to Reopen Langley Laboratory to This End.
Special to The New York Times.
WASHINGTON, May 1.— An important step in the development of aerial navigation was taken to-day, when the Board of Regents of the Smithsonian Institution decided to reopen the institution's laboratory for the study of aerodynamics.
The laboratory, which is well fitted for such an investigation, has been closed since the death of Dr. S. P. Langley, formerly Secretary of the institution, who conducted experiments with the ill-fated airship Buzzard.
