France Expects A Break.

New York Times 100 years ago today, August 10, 1913:
Thinks Realities Will Dissolve Washington Peace Plan.
    PARIS, Aug. 9.— All the news dispatches from Washington published in France describe a rupture between the United States and Mexico as probably being close at hand.
    Comment on the Mexican situation is sparse. It recognizes the difficult responsibilities of the United States, and suggests that the peace policies of President Wilson and Secretary of State Bryan are likely to disappear in the presence of realities.
