No Mobilizing Of War Ships.

Assistant Secretary Roosevelt Answers the War Rumors.

    BOSTON, May 19.— During a visit to this city to-day, when he visited the Navy Yard, F. D. Roosevelt, Assistant Secretary of the Navy, said in response to a question:
    "We are not mobilizing our ships to fight Japan."
    Mr. Roosevelt paid a visit to the British cruiser Melpomene while here.
