Accused of Failure to Comply with the Wireless Law.
BOSTON, Dec. 10.— Charged with failure to comply with the law regulating wireless communication from steamers, Capt. Frederick Shepherd of the British steamer Winifredian, from Liverpool, was arrested here to-day.
It was alleged the Captain had not arranged efficient communication between the bridge of the steamer and the operator. He was held in $500 for a hearing on Jan. 12.
