Americans Rush For Border.

New York Times 100 years ago today, March 21, 1913:
Cananea Residents Flee in Autos to Escape Yaquis' Attack.
DOUGLAS, Ariz., March 20.— American women and children from the mining settlement at Cananea, are being rushed to the border to-night in automobiles. Several hundred Yaquis, led by Gen. Obregnon, chief of the insurgent State troops, are reported marching on the town, garrisoned by 350 Federals.
Col. Moreno, the Federal commander at Cananea, expects Obregnon's attack in the morning. The advance of Obregnon is a deviation from his announced plan of an attack on Naco and the Federals there under Gen. Ojeda.
Antonio Rojas, a rebel general, with 150 men, is reported to have looted Moctezuma, Sonora, after American residents fled.
