By Cable to the Editor of The New York Times.
VENIZELOS.

[TRANSLATION.]
ATHENS, March 21.— Our well-beloved King has been assassinated by an unbalanced person who is able to give no reason for his horrible crime. The sorrow of the people over the loss of a sovereign as great in wisdom as in patriotism is indescribable, but the entire nation has absolute confidence in King Constantine, worthy son of King George, and there will be no change in the policy of the country.
VENIZELOS.
