Plan Memorial Services.

New York Times 100 years ago today, March 20, 1913:
Greeks All Over America to Meet on the Same Day.
Memorial services will be held by the Greeks in America for the late King of Greece on the same day all over the country. The date will be fixed by the Greek Legation at Washington, which will notify Greek consulates, churches and associations. The New York Greeks will hold their service in the Church of Annunciation in West Fifty-fourth Street. Consul General N. Botassi will have charge of the arrangements here.
"It is hard to understand," he said yesterday," how anybody, even an anarchist, could have killed King George. No one can deny that he was one of the most democratic sovereigns in the world. His democratic spirit and his love for Greece and his subjects won him deep sympathy and respect. His Majesty trusted his subjects. He was often seen in Athens without any bodyguard."
