Eight States Dissatisfied.

New York Times 100 years ago today, February 22, 1913:
Laredo Hears That They Are Ready to Join New Revolt.
LAREDO, Texas. Feb. 21.— Eight Mexican states, Zacatecas, Coahuila, Nuevo Leon, Chihuahua, San Luis Potosi, Vera Cruz, Sinaloa, and Puebla, have expressed dissatisfaction with the new regime in Mexico and will not support the Government set up by Gen. Huerta, according to information gathered from Federal telegraph sources here.
It is rumored that Gov. Carranzas of the State of Coahuila is at the head of a movement to start a new republic, and that efforts are being made to bring about the secession of several other States. On the night Madero was overthrown it was reported that Gov. Carranzas had ordered the mobilization of troops at Pedras Negras, across the border from Eagle Pass, Tex., but the purpose of the troop movement was not stated.
