Greeks Are Improving Salonika.

New York Times 100 years ago today, December 26, 1912:
    SALONIKA, Dec. 25.— The Greeks have now adopted effective measures to insure the proper sanitation of the city. All cases of infectious and contagious disease are reported to the authorities, and hospitals for the care of these patients have been opened. The water supply and municipal scavenging systems are being reorganized and an extensive medical service has been arranged.
