Against War Aeroplanes.

New York Times 100 years ago today, September 21, 1912:
Interparliamentary Union Adopts Resolution Opposing Their Use.
GENEVA, Sept. 20.— The question of the use of aeroplanes in time of war wag reconsidered at to-day's session of the Interparliamentary Union, as its approval by the conference, as announced last night, was apparently voted under a misapprehension.
After a long discussion to-day the resolution, introduced by the Belgian Minister of State, Auguste Beernaert, interdicting the use of aeroplanes in war, was adopted.
Gustave Ador, President of the International Committee of the Red Cross, said that many protests had been received from Red Cross workers in the field against the Italians throwing explosives from aeroplanes. He added that the Italians had denied the allegations.
The Italian delegates at the conference supported the proposal introduced by M. Beernaert, which was approved by some of the British and German representatives also.
