Gen. Mena, Head of the Revolution, Said to be a Prisoner.
LA LIBERTAD, Salvador, Aug. 4.— News of the conflict in Nicaragua between President Diaz and the revolutionists, headed by Gen. Mena, ex-Minister of War, came to-day by steamer which left San Juan Del Sur three days ago.
The report is that hostilities followed the action of Diaz in appointing Emiliano Chamorro commander in chief of the Government forces. Mena, it is rumored, has been taken prisoner.
The United States warship Annapolis has arrived at San Juan Del Sur and is being held there awaiting developments.
